Mr Yau was previously the Head of Property of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. During his 27 years tenure at HKJC, he was accountable for all real estate related functions including all construction projects (Hong Kong and overseas) and facilities management of HKJC’s properties in HK and China.

In 2015, he joined Crystal International Group Limited, a large garment manufacturing company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, as General Manager (Construction and Facilities). He is responsible for the supervision and management of the construction the group’s manufacturing facilities in Asia, covering China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Sri Lank, etc. He also assisted in setting up the infrastructure of the Construction Department and established the best practice project management guidelines and policies for preparation for their IPO.

In 2019, he joined Hop Lun Group as their advisor and consultant on their overseas development projects.

Mr Yau is a professional Engineer with Fellowship qualification at the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK). He graduated from the University of Warwick with B.Sc. (Honour) in Civil Engineering, and further obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Management at Herriot-Watt University and an EMBA at Kellogg-HKUST.

Previously the Regional GM with Aareal Bank and Managing Director with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, based in Singapore, where he was responsible for various landmark hotel investments and financing transactions including the financing of Colony Capital’s acquisition of the Raffles Hotel portfolio and project financing for the Wynn Hotel in Macau.

Mr. Chan has served as the Chief Financial Officer for City e-Solutions Ltd. (formerly CDL Hotel International Ltd.) responsible for investment, financial controls and reporting, tax, and financing for this HK listed company which provide services for the hospitality industry.

Working in both Singapore and HK, he has held various senior positions with Societe Generale Group and The Chase Manhattan Bank N.A, spanning corporate finance, capital markets, syndication, and advising on transactions for major real estate developers and hotel companies in the region.

He is an Independent Director and Audit Committee member of CDL Hospitality REIT, the largest hotel REIT listed in Asia ex-Japan.

Mr Chan graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B.A.Sc. and the University of Missouri-Columbia with M.SC. in Construction Management.

Since 1999, Roger has also been Managing Director of ABN AMRO Asia Capital Investment, the private equity investment company of ABN AMRO Bank N.V., the Dutch bank. Roger is an active investor in a number of businesses including services based businesses in food processing, leisure and healthcare.

He is Chairman of Creative Food International Holdings Limited, a fresh produce business in China.. He is also Chairman of Octasoft International, a software and systems provider to financial institutions active in Greater China and South East Asia. He is a non-executive director of Shanghai Dajiang Stock (Group) Co. Ltd., a meat processing business listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and sits on the investment committee of Siam Investment Fund II, a private equity fund that invests in Thailand.

He was Chairman (2002) and President (2003-2005) of the Hong Kong Venture Capital & Private Equity Association and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Asia Pacific Venture Capital and Private Equity Alliance. He is a Director of the Young Entrepreneurs Development Council.

Roger qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG, London in 1977 and worked in financial management positions in the hospitality, transport and oil services industries.

In 1981, he joined the French merchant bank Credit Industriale et Commerciale – Union Europeene in HK, responsible for regional origination, trade financing, syndication and capital markets. In late 1984, Mr. Chik emigrated to Singapore and joined Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (“OCBC”) in their Head Office. As Head of International Credit, Correspondent Banking and Overseas Branches, his duties included business development in the Pacific Rim (excluding Singapore and Malaysia), sanctioning credit proposals from the bank’s overseas branches/subsidiaries, loan administration and agency functions for syndicated facilities. He also oversaw operation of Central China International Leasing Company in Wuhan, PRC which was OCBC’s 50/50 joint venture with the Bank of China/Wuhan Municipal Government, providing project financing and leasing.

Mr. Chik was a senior banker at Creditanstalt-Bankverein based in HK and subsequently in Singapore, responsible for trade, structured credit, project and corporate financings, syndications and capital markets throughout the Asia-Pacific Region.

In 1999, Mr. Chik joined Laidlaw Group, a private equity and investment firm with headquarters in New York and started the operations of Laidlaw Pacific (Singapore) Private Ltd, focusing on advisory and fund raising transaction in the Asia Pacific region.

From 2000 to 2010 Mr. Chik was CFO, and later Advisor and Director of Asia Pacific Wire and Cable Ltd, a electrical wire and cable manufacturer with factories in Australia, China, Malaysia and Thailand. APWC is listed company on the NYSE.

Former member of board of the supervisory board of the real estate holding and the hotel chain operating company with a portfolio of ca, USD 750 m.

Co-Head of Global Structured Finance of Aareal Bank.

Recieved several deal awards, including Deal of the Year from Euromoney magazine for the first global CMBS transaction in 2001, Best Leisure Deal in 2005 from Project Finance magazaine for the project financing of Wynn Resort, Macau and Best Structured Loan Deal of the Year for from Finance Asia in 2005 for the acquisition of Raffles Hotels & Resorts by Colony Capital.
